amidogs beagle

Wooooooof! I’m so happy to present my favourite dog breed: the Beagle! This little guy took a long time to design – I actually started him before the Jack Russell, but I wasn’t satisfied with the yarn I’d bought for the project, so I had to restart with different yarn. I wanted him to be a perfect tricolour beagle without making the colour changes too difficult for those of you following the pattern!

Two head prototypes and three body prototypes later, here he is:

I’m naming him Porthos after my favourite ST Enterprise character 😉

So… Boston Terrier, Jack Russell Terrier, Beagle… That makes three… AmiDogs Set 2 is complete! All three patterns will be available for purchase shortly, either individually or as a value-priced set of all three. Remember to sign up for notification of availability of the patterns!

    Hi,

Surfing around for some pattern or another to try tonight and I landed here at your blog. LOVE your work in all your crafts…

The beagle amiguri pattern touched my heart. My beagle, Charlie, died 13 days before Christmas. It was unexpected and broke our families hearts. My 16 year old daughter cried unconsolably for hours and my 4 year old son still asks for him to this day. He was a wonderful fur friend and totally devoted to his “people pets”.

Your pattern is strikingly similar to charlie. I brought my daughter in this morning to see it and she started to cry. Hopefully I can save and purchase the pattern soon and make a set of two for my kids.

Thanks so much for sharing your creativity, it’s a true gift.

I have book marked you and adding you to my blog reads.

    Take care,
    Tammy

My stalking has paid off! I’ve been waiting for this one. And I love Porthos, too. Sad that the series was cancelled.

Carol – haha, yes of course I know! But I named him Porthos after the beagle in Enterprise, not the Musketeer 🙂

Very cute. My mother would have loved to make these little guys, she was a great crocheter.

You named him Porthos after your favourite ST Enterprise character, but you know who HE was named after, right?

I like all your dogs, they are so cute. The Beagle looks like a blanket back beagle.

Oh they look so cute together! I will probably be purchasing this one and the ferret and guinea pig! lol.
Have you considered a pick 4(or 5) pattern pack for a combined price? I know you do certain sets but being able to pick the exact patterns I like would be awesome.

Anyways Keep designing and writing patterns!
