amigurumi shiba inu

How’s that for a Japanese post title! I can finally reveal the present I made for Kari (Crafty Ginger). As I know she doesn’t crochet, in honour of her lovely Shiba Inu dog, may I present Ginger (Jr):

I made up the pattern for this amigurumi as I went, although I was influenced by the photos of Soragumi‘s crocheted dogs. The finishing touches to personalise it: a spool-knitted collar in Kari’s favourite colour, with a tiny rubber-stamped shrink plastic dog tag hanging from it.

The crochet Shiba Inu is adorable. Are these for sale? I have two shiba inu’s, I love them dearly but they are terrible duo. I could imaging what they would do to this little crochet Shiba.

Ginger Jr. is soooo cute! I love her! We had a Shiba Inu for three years, from the time she was a puppy. We also bred her and she had three puppies which we sold. I gave her away at a hard time in our life. Now I miss her and want to get another one. 🙁

Anyway that is so adorable. Will you be writing up a pattern or is it a one time thing? Soooo Cute!!

Oh my lordy lou! That is ADORABLE! You didn’t happen to write down the pattern while you were making her, did you? Because I can’t really find a good dog pattern, and the ones I do are in japanese, which I can’t read (and don’t fully understand the charts).

  11. OMG, how cute is that!!!!

Where are you located? Would it be asking way too much, if you would be willing to donate one or two crocheted Shibas to our rescue? We are located in Ontario, Canada and our next fundraiser is this September. Shiba items are so hard to find, especially in Canada, and when they are homemade crafts, people really want them.

You can email me at c_and_b2002@yahoo.com if you would be interested.

    Thank you,
    Bonnie & Sushi

June, you’re SO sweet! I LOVE my little mini-Ginger, but live Ginger needed a little bit of time to get to know her pal! LOL

I had such a great time last night, and I hope you did too! I’m so glad we got a chance to meet, and I really hope the rest of your Chicago stay is wonderful!

    THANKS again!!! 🙂
