I have been crocheting for 45 years now - so not a beginner. I purchased the right handed version of this book and realized that I have been looking for this book since I first started to crochet! I myself am right handed, but often find myself surrounded by left handers like my brother - who I watched struggle with right handed scissors and other "right handed" tools.
