I have crocheted for 60+ years but have only been making Amigurumi for about 10 years.

I wish I had had The Essential Guide to Amigurumi by June Gilbank when I started but I'm glad I have it now. The instructions are clear both in the description and in the colorful, detailed pictures.

In reading through the book I also found things that will help me in regular crocheting (doilies, afghans, etc).

I definitely recommend this book for Amigurumi beginners through advanced. There's something for all levels.
