As with June's larger snake patterns, what makes this work is the shaping, which is even trickier given the smaller "baby" size, and what makes this such a cute pattern. (I know, we all know, but I just had to say it :-) )

The instructions are clearly written with lots of pictures; given how teeny tiny the snake is, there are tips in the pattern for using smaller eyes. The pattern also includes a detailed 2-page section on how to do the ombre version, including a sample color chart.
Basically this is the High-standard of PlanetJune's patterns: "everything you need to know to be successful".

Making these is fast, and having made several, the only thing to remember to make this a "bring along" pattern is keep some stuffing with you too. Because of how small the snakelings are, they get long fast and as with all amigurumi, you need to stuff as you go. You don't need _a lot_ of stuffing, but you need to add it more frequently because of how fast the body grows.
