While I found this pattern to be more challenging (the shaping means non-standard stitches in very specific places), the results were lovely. There are lots of different options in this pattern for multiple sizes and types of starfish - the largest is similar in size and shape to Linkia sea stars. After I had tried it on my own, I was able to shepherd my novice crocheter sons through the small stars without difficulty because of June's excellent directions.
