The turtles are straightforward to make. The patterns of increasing and decreasing in the flippers easily create the perfect shape. The method of crocheting the shell sides together is almost addictive and our house will soon be overrun by these little guys. If you've made the adult sea turtle, these are much quicker and with far fewer pieces to sew (although I fully believe the adult is also the effort!). I love being able to make the hatching turtle as well; it looks very strange when it's in progress but comes out as cute as can be. I have received loads of compliments on the finished projects.
