I was one of those who commissioned this pattern, and in just a few evenings I had my own sweet, realistic-looking koala! I used two strands of Caron Simply Soft gray heather and black yarn with an H hook. It took approximately 10 oz of yarn and stands 10.5” tall. Since I would rather not use animal eyes, I made two 6-sc magic circles using one strand of black Simply Soft with an F hook and sewed them on. I brushed the ears. What a fun project, to be involved in the design of a pattern like this! There were many interesting techniques so that I really could see it taking shape before my eyes.
