{"id":2522,"date":"2010-02-02T10:00:49","date_gmt":"2010-02-02T15:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.planetjune.com\/blog\/?p=2522"},"modified":"2025-06-06T11:07:40","modified_gmt":"2025-06-06T15:07:40","slug":"its-groundhog-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.planetjune.com\/blog\/its-groundhog-day\/","title":{"rendered":"it&#8217;s Groundhog Day!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;and that means it&#8217;s time to wrap up the <a href=\"\/blog\/groundhog-along\/\">Groundhog-along<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/groups\/groundhog-along-2010\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/groundhogalong_button.png\" alt=\"Groundhog-along 2010!\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>First, let&#8217;s cover the all-important prognostication: will we have 6 more weeks of winter? Punxsutawney Phil, Shubenacadie Sam and Wiarton Willie all saw their shadows this morning, forecasting 6 more weeks of winter. But, in my totally overcast Waterloo garden, my amigurumi &#8216;hog had a different story to tell, saying &#8220;I see no shadow. Please can I get out of this snow and get back in the warm? My tail is all wet!&#8221; (He&#8217;s a little spoilt from living in the lap of luxury on my desk all month). So that&#8217;s one vote for an early spring!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/CAL_images\/Groundhog\/gh.jpg\" alt=\"groundhog\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now let&#8217;s take a look at some of the other amigurumi groundhogs! But I chose to ignore it.&#8221; And kitchensinkdye&#8217;s Desmond is crocheted from two shades of her own gorgeous hand-dyed yarn! It&#8217;s been so much fun seeing everyone working on them all at once, using different yarns and their own special touches.
