I&#8217;m not quite sure why I do it, but a tradition that means I only have to make\u00a0one item\u00a0per year and forces me to try something new each time sounds pretty good to me. I suppose at some point I&#8217;ll run out of ideas for different crafts to make a poinsettia from, but I&#8217;m nowhere near that point yet!<\/p>\n<p>In <strong>2006<\/strong> (well before the recent kanzashi popularity!), I made a <a href=\"\/blog\/tsumami-poinsettia\/\">kanzashi poinsettia<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/poinsettia_sml.jpg\" alt=\"tsumami kanzashi poinsettia\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In <strong>2007<\/strong>, I designed the famous <a href=\"\/blog\/free-crochet-patterns\/poinsettia\/\">crocheted poinsettia<\/a>\u00a0(with free pattern):<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/crocheted_poinsettia_sml.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In <strong>2008<\/strong>, I created the\u00a0<a href=\"\/blog\/tutorials\/polymer-clay-poinsettia-tutorial\/\">polymer clay poinsettia<\/a> (with free tutorial):<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/poinsettia2008.jpg\" alt=\"polymer clay poinsettia by planetjune\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And for this year?
