Set 1: Ocellaris Clownfish and Yellow Tang\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.planetjune.com\/blog\/images\/fish_aquaami_ocellarisclownfish_yellowtang.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.planetjune.com\/blog\/images\/fish_aquaami_ocellarisclownfish_yellowtang-150x90.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>Ocellaris Clownfish<\/strong> (<i>Amphiprion ocellaris<\/i>), above left.\u00a0Instantly recognisable as Nemo from the Disney films, Ocellaris Clownfish form a symbiotic relationship with a sea anemone: the fish cleans and defends the anemone, while the anemone gives the fish a safe place to hide from predators.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yellow Tang<\/strong>\u00a0(<i>Zebrasoma flavescens<\/i>), above right.\u00a0A very popular aquarium fish, the Yellow Tang is found throughout the Indo-Pacific region, but especially in reefs around the Hawaiian Islands.<\/p>\n<h3>Set 2: Royal Blue Tang\u00a0&amp; Amethyst Anthias<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16623\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/fish_aquaami_royalbluetang_amethystanthias.jpg\" alt=\"Aquaami Tropical Fish crochet patterns by PlanetJune. These fish are almost impossible to breed in captivity, so fish for sale are harvested from the wild, which endangers their wild populations and reef habitats &#8211; far better to crochet one instead&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Amethyst Anthias<\/strong> (<i>Pseudanthias pascalus<\/i>), above right. With over 60 different species, the colourful anthias family hail from the Indo-Pacific region and are found in lots of different colours, so you can make one in yellow, orange, pink, purple or red and it&#8217;ll still be realistic!<\/p>\n<h3>Set 3:\u00a0Copperband Butterflyfish\u00a0&amp; Royal Gramma<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16620\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/fish_aquaami_copperbandbutterflyfish_royalgramma.jpg\" alt=\"Aquaami Tropical Fish crochet patterns by PlanetJune. Set 3: Copperband Butterflyfish and Royal Gramma\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.planetjune.com\/blog\/images\/fish_aquaami_copperbandbutterflyfish_royalgramma.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.planetjune.com\/blog\/images\/fish_aquaami_copperbandbutterflyfish_royalgramma-150x90.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Copperband Butterflyfish<\/strong> (<i>Chelmon rostratus<\/i>), above left.\u00a0Butterflyfishes&#8217; deep, narrow bodies and long fins give them a flat triangular appearance that&#8217;s fun to crochet! The Copperband Butterflyfish is also commonly called the Beaked Coralfish.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Royal Gramma<\/strong> (<i>Gramma loreto<\/i>), above right.\u00a0With its distinctive half-purple and half-yellow appearance, the Royal Gramma comes from the Caribbean and is also known as the Fairy Basslet.<\/p>\n<h3>Set 4:\u00a0Pajama Cardinalfish &amp; Flame Angelfish<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16622\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/fish_aquaami_pajamacardinalfish_flameangelfish.jpg\" alt=\"Aquaami Tropical Fish crochet patterns by PlanetJune. Set 4: Pajama Cardinalfish and Flame Angelfish\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.planetjune.com\/blog\/images\/fish_aquaami_pajamacardinalfish_flameangelfish.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.planetjune.com\/blog\/images\/fish_aquaami_pajamacardinalfish_flameangelfish-150x90.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>Pajama Cardinalfish<\/strong> (<i>Sphaeramia nematoptera<\/i>), above left.\u00a0This strikingly-coloured spotted fish is popular in aquariums. The Pajama Cardinalfish hides a special secret to ensure the survival of its young &#8211; the male incubates the eggs in his mouth until they hatch!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flame Angelfish<\/strong> (<i>Centropyge loricula<\/i>), above right. A\u00a0beautifully coloured dwarf angelfish, the Flame Angelfish has a bright red, black-striped body and electric blue patches at the back of its fins.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>About the Patterns<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>These mini amigurumi offer a <strong>variety of shapes and crochet techniques<\/strong> (shaping, colour changes, spots and stripes, assembly and finishing).
