I crocheted each leaf and petal individually and then assembled all 19 pieces at the end:<\/p>\n<p><a  href=\"\/blog\/images\/poinsettia_crocheted.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/poinsettia_crocheted.jpg\" alt=\"crocheted poinsettia\" width=\"400\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/>\n<em>Click for full-sized picture<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The finished piece is about 6.5&#8243; in diameter. I also designed a simpler version with only one row of petals and smaller leaves.
