finished the 63 squares afghan!

There were times when I thought I’d never reach this point, but my 63 squares afghan is finally complete! It all came together really well, and I’m really pleased with the finished piece.

Final dimensions are 2.00m x 1.55m (79″ x 61″) and it weighs 2.1kg (4.3lb). It’s so large I’m having difficulty getting a good picture! Here is is on a (double) bed:

And here it is on the sofa:

Yay!

Hi Suzy, I finished making this afghan 13 years ago, so I don’t recall the details any more(!) but you can find my suggestions for where to find general crochet help here: www.planetjune.com/crochethelp

I’ve had this leaflet lying around forever and I bought yarn specifically for this, but haven’t started on it yet. These pictures make me want to get cracking on it, though. Very nice! 🙂

wow, that really is just gorgeous. I love the colors you chose. I found this booklet at a thrift store and have been anxious to begin it, I’m planning to wait until after Christmas to begin. Thank you for the inspiration!
