picture this!

I was in Chapters bookstore yesterday and I thought I’d check out the latest issue of A Needle Pulling Thread magazine:

A Needle Pulling Thread

As I flipped through, the Editor’s letter page caught my eye.

A closer look:

June Gilbank of PlanetJune.com with Carla Canonico, Editor-in-Chief of A Needle Pulling Thread magazine

It’s meee! Wearing my PlanetJune T-shirt at the spring Creativ Festival! What a nice surprise, although I have to say it’s pretty surreal to see my own face smiling back from inside a magazine…

Thank you, Carla and John, for featuring me in your designers’ gallery :)

Thanks everyone! I felt like quite the celebrity, haha!

curegirl, it’s a Canadian-based magazine – not sure if it has US distribution yet, although there are many US subscribers.

AWESOME!! Isn’t that fun to get surprises like that!?
I got my hoop and sharpies for doing my punch needle at Joanne’s yesterday! I “investigated” my punch needle this morning. You know what? I discovered a ONE step process for threading it! I was playing around, TRYING to follow the directions for threading with the threader. I put the threader through the back of the needle and just used my thumb to guide it down the shaft. If I had threaded it ( I FORGOT to bring floss!) I would have pulled it up and out the needle in one step! I also figured putting it through the tool (the threader) was a good storage place! :D Can’t wait to try it out. The neat thing was that the hoop I got SHOWED someone doing punch needle in the picture! cool
