I have yet to get out my punchneedle and get to work! BUT, now that I am on vacation for the next couple of weeks, I can't think of a better time to give it a try! My first project will, naturally, have to be the poinsettia since it is so close to Christmas! I love them too! In fact, somewhere in storage in Atlanta, is some of my Christmas jewelry that I made for myself out of Fimo years ago! Your polymer poinsettia above looks JUST like a pair of earrings I made probably ten to 15 years ago! I sprinkled fine glitter over mine on top of the glaze to give them a little sparkle. I wish I had them now to wear. But, you know what? Since I AM on break, and I DO have clay (sculpy, not Fimo, and I even have some special "light" sculpy!) I think I may just have to make myself another pair to wear here! After all, they are "flowers" so I should be able to get away with it as long as they aren't Christmas trees or Santas! LOL! They would go nicely with my poinsettia scarf! And hey! The punchneedle one would make a great pin for the scarf! Yay, June! You have inspired me!

Poinsettia are one of my favorite things about Christmas-time. I love all the ones you've made. I now have to go and make a polymer clay one and a felt one. Thanks for the inspiration!

I love this June! I've never tried Punch needle, but when you did your Serengeti Sunset design I was so "wowed" by it that I decided I had to give it a try. I ordered a beginner's punch needle kit, as well as the hoop and needle, to get some practice before I attempted your pattern, but I've yet to give it a try. The kit promises that 'all I need to know' is in the instructions, but I have a feeling I'll be back to buy your Punch needle eBook.
Anyway...the poinsettia is just beautiful, can't wait to see what you come up with next year!

What a great tradition June, making Poinsettia's in a variety of crafts! Love your polymer clay Poinsettia best, but of course I am biased!:-) Great to see that punch needle is coming back. I have several projects I did with it when I was a kid. It's very fun and looks great. You punch needle Poinsettia is awesome btw!
